This specimen was lot 952 in Jean Elsen sale 131 (Brussels, December 2016), where it sold for €__ (about US$___ including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"FRANCE, LORRAINE, Charles III (1545-1608), AR florin d'argent (demi-écu aux aigles), 1588, Nancy. D/ B. barbu et cuirassé à g R/ MO- N-OVA- NANC C-VSA Ecu de Lorraine sous un heaume drapé, couronné et cimé d'une aigle éployée, soutenu par deux aigles. Saulcy XXIII, 10; coll. Robert -; coll. Monnier -; Flon 654, 125. 15,93g Très rare Trace de monture. Très Beau. (duchy of Lorraine, Chalres II (1545-1608), silver florin (half ecu of the eagles) of 1588, Nancy mint. Obverse: bearded armored bust to left; reverse: arms of Lorraine below and draped helmet with crown and displayed eagle, supported by two eagles. Very rare, trace of mounting, very fine.)"
