This specimen was lot 804 in Jean Elsen sale 135 (Brussels, December 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"FRANCE, LORRAINE, Duché, Charles II (1390-1431), AR gros au chevalier, 1390-1420, Nancy. D/ (alérion) KAROLVS- DVX LOT-HOR' Z M Le duc armé, au galop à g., ten. son épée sur l'épaule et son écu. R/ MONE-TA FC-A' IN N-ANCEY Croix fleurdelisée avec un petit alérion en coeur, un trèfle dans chaque canton. Quatre rosettes dans la légende. Flon 430, 21; Saulcy VIII, 3; coll. Robert 1353. 2,33g Très rare Belle patine. Très Beau à Superbe. (France, duchy of Lorraine, Charles II, 1390-1431, silver gros or knight, 1390-1420, Nancy mint. Obverse: the duke, armed and mounted, gallops to left, bearing an sword and shield; reverse: floriate cross with a small eagle in the center, rosettes in the fields and in the legends. Very rare, nice toning, Very Fine - Extremely Fine.)"
