This specimen was lot 21208 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "IONIAN ISLANDS. 2 Lepta, 1820. NGC MS-64 BN. KM-31; Geo-6. Deep brown colored with the faintest hints of original mint red around the "NNIA" in "BRITANNIA" on the reverse. Magnified inspection reveals evidence of die clashing on both sides. Conditionally RARE in this near-Gem grade."
