This specimen was lot 21084 in Stack's Bowers 2018 NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $2,400. The catalog description[1] noted, "HONDURAS. 1/2 Real, 1830-TF. NGC Fine Details--Holed. KM-18. EXTREMELY RARE one year issue from this mint. The Krause book states that there are 3-4 examples known. A handsome piece despite the noted defect of having a hole. Deeply toned with most of the major design features visible without the aid of magnification. Sure to excite the connoisseur of Honduran or Central American Republic coinage."
