This specimen was lot 30681 in Heritage sale 3035 (Long Beach, September 2014), where it sold for $1,410. The catalog description[1] noted, "Hohenlohe-Kirchberg. Karl August Taler 1738-W//N VF35 NGC, Nurnberg mint, KM6, Dav-2358. A very attractive example from this scarcer principality with warm cabinet patination. The wear on the coin is even and mostly concentrated on the high points. A very pleasing type, aptly graded and with considerable eye appeal."
