This specimen was lot 3592 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €1,250 (about US$1,685 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-CALENBERG-HANNOVER, Georg III. 1760-1820. Dukat 1776, Zellerfeld. Ausbeute der Harzer Gruben. 3,48 g. Müseler 10.6.4/29; Fr-618; Welter 2793. GOLD. Leicht gewellt, sehr schön. (electorate of Hannover, George III, 1760-1820, ducat of 1776, Zellerfeld mint, for the Harz mines. Slightly bent, very fine.)"
KM 359 struck 1767, 1774, 1776, 1780, 1783, 1785, 1789 but rare.
