This specimen was lot 33215 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "Fau[s]tin I 6-1/4 Centimes 1850 AU55 Brown NGC, KM 38. Seldom encountered in AU condition, this chocolately-brown specimen of the island's first emperor retains fairly sharp details nestled amidst residual mint luster. Selections from the Isaac Rudman Numismatic Cabinet."
Empire d'Haiti lasted 1849-63. coinage of 1850: 1¢, 2¢, 6¢, 6¼¢, no silver or gold.
