This specimen was lot 6518 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it sold for $258.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Penny, ND, Commonwealth (1649-60). NGC MS-63. S-3222; KM-387. Good strike with appealing dove grey tone and nice luster." During the Commonwealth, the half, one and two pence were struck in silver, denomination which in later centuries would be struck in copper. none are dated.
