This specimen was lot 29851 in Heritage sale 3042 (Long Beach, September 2015), where it sold for $2,115. The catalog description[1] noted, "George I Farthing 1719 MS64 Red and Brown PCGS, Royal mint, KM556, S-3662. Large Letters variety. Finest known quality for the date, with blue tinged coloration over the exposed surfaces and glowing original reddish highlights within the protected areas. A dearth of marks confirms the most-impressive near-Gem designation, and fully validates this piece as worthy of an elite British cabinet."
