This specimen was lot 2712 in Goldberg sale 91 (Los Angeles, June 2016), where it sold for $3,055. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Tin Halfpenny, with copper insert at centre, 1690 NGC MS61. S.3448; Peck-568. William & Mary, 1688-1694. 11.19g. Conjoined busts right, legend surrounding. Rev. Britannia seated left on globe, with olive branch, spear and shield, legend around, plain exergue, edge inscribed in raised letters, NUMMORVM* FAMVLVS* 1690 * Some lustre, mainly on the obverse, some light corrosion spots on reverse, very rare in this top grade. NGC graded MS-61."
Charles II struck copper halfpennies 1672-75. James II struck plugged tine halfpennies 1685-87. William and Mary struck tin halfpennies 1689-92 then switched to copper in 1694. This one is probably KM 1690. Common in VG, rare nice.
