This specimen was lot 2630 in Goldberg sale 100 (Los Angeles, September 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Sixpence, 1842. S.3908; ESC-1688. Victoria Young Head. Seemingly under-graded as this coin is truly pristine with the most intense, brilliant silvery luster we have ever seen on this type, as well as beautiful iridescent highlights; fully struck, too, from lightly clashed dies; finest example of this very early date we have seen. PCGS graded MS-66."
KM 733.1, m. 602,000.
