This specimen was lot 21091 in Heritage sale 3021 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $1,762.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "George VI Proof Penny 1948, S-4114, KM845, Peck-2417 (ER), PR64 RB PCGS, a beautiful and very choice example of this extremely rare Proof of Record, mostly mint red but having some faint hairlines and surface ticks keeping it from the superb category. Never the less, a most desirable penny!"
