This specimen was lot 24149 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $9,400. The catalog description[1] noted, "George II gold Half Guinea 1760, S-3685, Old laureate Head, MS66 NGC, glowing with luster, fully struck from fresh dies, and superb! Final year of issue during this reign, and obviously saved with great care over the past 254 years. A fabulous coin."
