Great_Britain_1732_crown_obv_H3030-24267.jpg(450 × 432 pixels, file size: 58 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

This specimen was lot 24267 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $6,462.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "George II Crown 1732, S-3686, ESC-117, Young Laureate Head, Roses & Plumes, Sexto edge, MS63 NGC, sharply detailed in both the portrait and royal shield, highly lustrous, and importantly struck on a well-formed flan (this type often encountered with oddly shaped flans), the surfaces exceptionally pleasing even if showing a number of tiny obverse abrasions, and richly toned in varying shades of golden gray. All in all, a delightful crown. From The Formosa Collection."
