This specimen was lot 24112 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $30,550. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Charles II gold Guinea 1676, S-3345, 4th Bust, Elephant & Castle hallmark, MS62 NGC, rare grade, a coin with a beautiful obverse, the portrait endearing, the hallmark as fully struck as this cataloguer has ever seen on this type of hallmark, the king's portrait perfectly centered, surfaces glittering with luster; the reverse is just as sharp and lustrous but at the bottom may be seen some oxidized tin in the gold alloy. It would be difficult to find this coin's equal. Ex Millennia and Jacob Y. Terner Collections."
