This specimen was lot 24100 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $25,850. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Commonwealth gold Double-Crown 1651, of 10 Shillings, S-3210, North-2717 (rare), Sun mm, MS63 NGC, a coin of glorious eye-appeal with its deep reddish gold toning over choice surfaces gleaming with luster, on a broad flan with an incredibly detailed strike, and high beaded rims. We have never seen anything like this gem of a coin!"
