This specimen was lot 1050 in Sincona sale 50 (Zurich, October 2018), where it sold for 7,500 CHF (about US$9,046 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Goslar, Stadt. Taler 1705. Mit Titel Josephs I. Madonna mit Kind und Zepter in Flammenglorie über dem Stadtschild. Rv. Gekrönter Doppeladler mit grossem Reichsapfel auf der Brust, unten die geteilte Jahreszahl. 29.13 g. Buck/Büttner/Kluge 301 A/a. Cappe 509. Dav. 2272 A. Sehr selten in dieser Erhaltung. Prachtvolle Erhaltung mit herrlicher Patina. Fast FDC. (city of Goslar, thaler of 1705, struck in the name of Joseph I. Obverse: Madonna and Child with scepter in flaming glory, city arms below. Reverse: crowned double headed eagle with large imperial orb on its breast, date below. Very rare in this condition, Beautiful condition with magnificent patina, About uncirculated.)"
