This specimen was lot 33051 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $1,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "William IV 1/2 Farthing 1837 MS63 Brown NGC, KM 724, S-3849. An absolutely stunning coin, the present example is one of only a small handful of the type that has graded Mint State, with none certified finer at either NGC or PCGS. The issue was only struck for a single year for use in Ceylon, which explains the lack of high-grade survivors. Surfaces are an elegant bronze color with a soft midnight blue gracing the peripheries. A truly elegant piece worthy of a premium bid."
