This specimen was lot 32962 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $504. The catalog description[1] noted, "William III 1/2 Crown 1697-y AU55 NGC, York mint, KM 491.12, ESC-1100 (prev. 551). An unusually fine grade for William's notoriously flatly struck coinage, charcoal accents filling the margins and a scattering of haymarks on the obverse. From the Lake County Collection."
KM 491.12 struck 1697 only (KM 491.18 for 1696-y), EF $1,700.
