This specimen was lot 20477 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "[[France|FRANCE]. Ecu, 1793-B. Rouen Mint. Louis XVI under the First Republic. PCGS MS-64 Gold Shield. KM-615.3; Dav-1335; Gad-55. The better date of this short-lived type, struck prior to the trial and execution of the king. Lustrous and fully argent, with a few minor planchet flaws, most conspicuously on the king's forehead. An alluring near gem."
