This specimen was lot 20432 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE. Ecu, 1723-A. Louis XV (1715-74). NGC MS-61. KM-459.1; Dav-1328; Gad-319; Dupl-1665. Draped laureate young bust right. Clear evidence of having been overstruck on an earlier 1718-A or 1719-A armored young bust type (KM-435.1) with the mint mark easily readable. An all white example without a trace of tone, beaming bright luster, and the portrait in particular is quite nice."
