This specimen was lot 42746 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it sold for $960. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE. Teston, 1554-G. Poitiers Mint. Henry II (1547-59). NGC AU-55. Roberts-3513; Dup-983. Evenly struck with rich tone over both sides that contains bright iridescent hues around the outer legends. Overall, about as fine as one could possibly expect from the issue. From the Collection of Dr. James Eustace Bizzell, II."

Dupl-983, teston, 2e type, 9.59 g, .899 fine silver, struck 1551-58. also Dupl-983A, struck by the mill at Troyes, 1552-53. First type featured a crowned bust.
