This specimen was lot 22507 in Stack's Bowers 2018 NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $156. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE. 1/2 Ecu, 1702-BB. Strasbourg Mint. Louis XIV (1643-1715). PCGS Genuine--Environmental Damage, VF Details Secure Holder. KM-325.3; Gad-189a. Toned. From the Brighton Collection."
Dr/4 no. 623, Dr/2 no. 425, m. 25,003 (all rf), a scarce date. demi-écu aux insignes, buste du type au palmes. struck at various mints using leftover dies 1701-04. generally scarce.
