This specimen was lot 20185 in Stack's Bowers 2018 NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $2,280. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE. Ecu d'Or, 1635-B. Rouen Mint. Louis XIII (1610-43). NGC MS-63. Fr-398; KM-51; Gad-55; Dupl-1282A. "écu d'or au soleil" struck by the hammer at Rouen for Louis XIII with the obverse legend beginning at the bottom. A common date per Gadoury but seldom seen so nice, sharply struck, brilliant and highly lustrous."

3.37 g, .958 fine gold, 65 s. t. Dr/4 no. 1, est. m. 75,000. type struck 1611-43.
