This specimen was lot 20169 in Stack's Bowers 2018 NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE. Aquitaine. Hardi d'Or, ND. Charles (1468-74). NGC MS-62. Fr-20. Half-length ruler holding a naked sword, Annulet in the beaded circle at 5 o'clock, title KAROLVS DVX AQVITANIE; Reverse: Floriate cross, lis and lions in the angles. Fully round, beautiful impression of the dies and a coin that is enriched by ample pleasing luster for outstanding visual appeal. Full complete legends on both sides, an outstanding example of this seldom offered type. From our sale of the Kroisos Collection (January 2008), lot# 2567."
