This specimen was lot 71368, in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2019), where it sold for $75. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE. 5 Francs, 1839-A. Paris Mint. Louis Philippe. NGC AU-58. KM-749.1; Dav-91; Gad-678. A splendid example despite its light handling, this charming piece still possesses a good deal of original luster and problem free surfaces, along with a deeper russet tone near the peripheries."
