This specimen was lot 781 in Jean Elsen sale 132 (Brussels, March 2017), where it sold for €300 (about US$380 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"FRANCE, Royaume, Louis XIV (1643-1715), AR demi-écu aux palmes, 1698W, Lille. Flan neuf. D/ B. cuir. à d. R/ Ecu de France rond, couronné, entre deux palmes. Dupl. 1521; Gad-185; L4L 260 (hors cote). 13,63 g Très rare. Très Beau. (kingdom of France, Louis XIV (1643-1715), silver half écu of the palms of 1698, Lille mint, struck on a new blank. Obverse: cuirassed bust to right; reverse: crowned round arms of France between two palm branches. Very rare, very fine.)"
