This specimen was lot 1261 in Jean Elsen sale 142 (Brussels, September 2019), where it sold for €1,200 (about US$1,556 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANCE, Royaume, Henri III (1574-1589), AV écu d'or au soleil, 1579M, Toulouse. D/ Ecu de France couronné, sous un soleil. La légende débutant en haut. R/ Croix fleurdelisée, un quadrilobe en coeur. Dupl. 1121; Ci. 1410; Laf. 960. 3,35 g. Très Beau à Superbe. (kingdom of France, Henry III, 1574-89, gold écu of the sunburst of 1579, Toulouse mint. Obverse: crowned arms of France below a sunburst, legend begins at top; reverse: floriate cross, a quadrilobe at the center. Very Fine - Extremely Fine.)"
