This specimen was lot 1383 in Jean Elsen sale 141 (Brussels, June 2019), where it sold for €1,700 (about US$2,253 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANCE, Royaume, Louis XV (1715-1774), AV louis d'or de Noailles, 1716A, Paris. D/ T. couronnée à g. R/ Deux écus de France et deux de Navarre couronnés, posés en forme de croix, autour de la lettre d'atelier. Quatre lis dans les angles. Dupl-1630; Gad-344. 12,20 g Rare Petits coups sur la tranche. Très Beau. Provient de notre vente 128, 12 mars 2016, 757. (kingdom of France, Louis XV, 1715-74, gold louis of Noailles of 1716, Paris mint. Obverse: crowned head left; reverse: two shields of France and two shields of Navarre, crowned, posed in a cross, mintmark at center, cantonned with four lilies. Rare, minor rim nicks, Very Fine.)"
