This specimen was lot 1307 in Jean Elsen sale 141 (Brussels, June 2019), where it sold for €140 (about US$186 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANCE, Royaume, Louis XIV (1643-1715), AR écu aux palmes, 1695A, Paris. 2e réformation. D/ B. à d., cuirassé à l'antique. R/ Ecu de France rond, couronné, entre deux palmes. Dupl-1520A; Gad-217. 27,25 g Réformé sur un écu aux huit L de Rouen. Nettoyé. Très Beau. (kingdom of France, Louis XIV, 1643-1715, silver écu of the palms of 1695, Paris mint, second reformation. Obverse: armored bust right; reverse: crowned round arms of France between two palms. Struck over an écu of the 8 "L's" of Rouen. Cleaned, Very Fine.)"
