This specimen was lot 1066 in Jean Elsen sale 141 (Brussels, June 2019), where it sold for €700 (about US$928 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"FRANCE, Royaume, François Ier (1515-1547), AV écu d'or au soleil du Dauphiné, s.d. (1515-1517), Grenoble (rosette finale). 2e type. D/ Champ écartelé de France-Dauphiné, sous un soleil. Différent: A en fin de légende (Antoine Vagnon). R/ Croix fleurdelisée, cantonnée de deux F couronnés. Dupl-783; Ci. 1083; Laf. 646. 3,31 g. Très Beau à Superbe. Provient de notre vente 133, 10 septembre 2017, 1227. (kingdom of France, Francis I, 1515-47, undated gold shield of the sunburst of Dauphiné, Grenoble mint, second type. Obverse: quartered arms of France and Dauphiné beneath a sunburst; privy mark: A at the end of the legend; reverse: floriate cross, cantonned with two crowned "F's". Very Fine - Extremely Fine.)"
