This specimen was lot 1417 in Jean Elsen sale 135 (Brussels, December 2017), where it sold for €1,600 (about US$2,216 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"FRANCE, Royaume, Louis XV (1715-1774), AV louis d'or au bandeau, 1743A, Paris. D/ T. à g., ceinte d'un bandeau. R/ Ecus ovales de France et de Navarre sous une couronne. Dupl. 1643; Gad-341. 8,16 g 2e semestre. Superbe. (kingdom of France, Louis XV, 1715-74, gold louis of the hair ribbon of 1743, Paris mint. Obverse: head to left, with hair tied in a ribbon; reverse: oval arms of France and Navarre below a crown. Second semester, Extremely Fine.)"
