This specimen was lot 1705 in Jean Elsen sale 134 (Brussels, September 2017), where it sold for €1,350 (about US$1,906 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANCE, Royaume, Louis XIV (1643-1715), AV louis d'or au soleil, 1710D, Lyon. D/ T. à d., coiffée d'une perruque laurée. R/ Croix formée de huit L couronnés, cantonnée de quatre lis, avec un soleil en coeur. Dupl. 1449; Gad-256. 8,13g Rare Le revers légèrement paillé. Très Beau à Superbe. (kingdom of France, Louis XIV, 1643-1715, gold louis of the sunburst of 1710, Lyon mint. Obverse: laureate, peruked bust; reverse: cross formed of eight "L's", four fleurs-de-lys in the quarters, suburst at the center. Rare, the reverse with planchet laminations, very fine to extremely fine.)"
