This specimen was lot 962 in Jean Elsen sale 123 (Brussels, December 2014), where it sold for €6,000 (about US$8,720 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"FRANCE, Louis-Philippe (1830-1848), AV 20 francs, 1831 T, Nantes. Tête nue. Tranche en relief. Seulement 868 p. frappées. Gad-1030a. Extrêmement Rare. Petits coups sur la tranche. Très Beau. (kingdom of France, Louis Philippe (1830-48), gold twenty francs of 1831, Nantes mint, bare head, edge letting raised, only 868 pieces struck, extremely rare, small rim nicks, very fine.)"
