This specimen was lot 940 in Jean Elsen sale 124 (Brussels, March 2015), where it sold for €__ (about US$__ including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANCE, Royaume, Louis XV (1715-1774), AR écu aux huit L, 1724 9, Rennes. Droit: B. jeune, l., drapé et cuirassé à droite. Revers: Croix formée de quatre lis couronnés, cantonnée de huit L. Dupl., 1670; Gad-320. 23,43 g. Rare. Fines traces d'ajustage. Belle patine. presque Superbe. (kingdom of France, Louis XV (1715-74), silver écu of the eight L's of 1724, Rennes mint. Obverse: young bust, laureate, armored and draped, to right; reverse: cross formed of four crowned lilies with eight L's in the fields. Rare, slight traces of adjustment marks, nice toning, about extremely fine.)"
