This specimen was lot 1006 in Jean Elsen sale 124 (Brussels, March 2015), where it sold for €__ (about US$__ including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANCE, Napoléon Ier (1804-1814), AV 40 francs, 1806 W, Lille. 4.336 p. frappées. Gad-1082; Fr-483. Rare. Très Beau. (France, Napoleon I (1804-14), gold forty francs of 1806, Lille mint, 4,336 pieces struck. Rare, very fine.)"
