This specimen was lot 30772 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $630. The catalog description[1] noted, "Louis XV gold Louis d'or 1738/7-P XF Details (Cleaning) PCGS, Dijon mint, KM 489.16, Gad-340 (R4). From a rare mint, this example displays evidence of light circulation on the raised motifs, with frosty luster over the obverse and surfaces that show light evidence of cleaning on the reverse."
Dr/4 no. 800, m. 4,725, a scarce date of a common type. Dijon recorded for 1726-40 but all dates have low mintages.
