This specimen was lot 30771 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $1,452. The catalog description[1] noted, "Louis XV gold Louis d'or 1719-& MS61 PCGS, Aix mint, KM 438.23, Fr-453. A fairly scarce type to be encountered in mint state, this charming piece exhibits some adjustment marks across the head of the young king as well as the central area of the reverse. A pleasing design, the French coat-of-arms is overlapping the Maltese cross."

Dr/4 no. 796, struck 1718, 1719 and 1720-N, 9.79 g, .917 fine gold. 1719-& m. unknown but slightly scarce date of an expensive type.
