This specimen was lot 30761 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "Louis XIV gold Louis d'or 1695-V AU50 PCGS, Troyes mint, KM 302.19 (Unlisted Date), Gad-252 (R2). Reused Flan. A crude issue, the under-coin has diminished the legibility of the obverse design, but the reverse detail is considerably sharper, with a bold portrayal of the important "V" mintmark. The only example of this date/mint combination that we have seen."
Dr/4 no. 412, louis d'or aux 4 L, m. unknown, all rf. priced as scarce in Droulers. obverse looks counterfeit.
