This specimen was part of lot 29053 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), which sold for $432. The catalog description[1] noted, "Louis XIV. Pair of High Grade Minor Coins, 1) 4 Sols 1676-D Unc., Lyon mint, KM 232.2, Gad-103. Considerable luster and reasonably well-struck. From worn dies. 2) 4 Sols aux 2 L 1691-P Unc., Dijon mint, KM 281.12, Gad-106. Medium gray. Struck over another coin; parts of the undertype show on the reverse. Nice eye appeal. From the Doug Robins Collection of Canadian Tokens."
Dr/4 no. 753B, Dr/2 no.456B, 1.63 g, .798 fine silver, 19 mm diameter, plain edge, struck at Paris, Lyon and Vimy (also mintmark D) 1674-79. 4 sols = 1/15 écu. 1676-D m. 21,498,000. Dr/4 no. 756P, Dr/2 no. 460, 2.28 g, .917 fine silver, 19-23 mm diameter, struck at Dijon 1691-98. 1692-P m. unknown, all rf.
