This specimen was part of lot 29033 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), which sold for $300. The catalog description[1] noted, "Pair of Louis XV 2 Sols (Sous Marqués), 1) 1741/0/39-R VF, Orléans mint, KM 500.18, Vlack-178d, R7. Stop after R and star over battle axe. No silvering remains. Small verdigris spot on the reverse. 2) 1741-BB XF, Strasbourg mint, KM 500.4, Vlack-253. Considerable silvering remains; cracked flan. From the Doug Robins Collection of Canadian Tokens."
Gad-281: 2.18 g, .250 fine silver, 22 mm diameter, plain edge, designed by J. C. Roettiers, struck 1738-69. Dr/4 no. 859, Dr/2 no. 595. 1741-R m. unknown but uncommon; 1741-BB m. 1,134,936.
