This specimen was part of lot 29030 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), which sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "Pair of Louis XV 2 Sols (Sous Marqués), 1) 1740-X Unc., Amiens mint, KM 500 (Unlisted mint for this year), Vlack-215. Considerable luster, but badly struck areas on both sides and blotchy color on the reverse. 2) 1740-Y VF, Bourges mint, KM 500.24, Vlack-219, R8. No silvering remains. Toning back from being cleaned long ago. From the Doug Robins Collection of Canadian Tokens."

Gad-281: 2.18 g, .250 fine silver, 22 mm diameter, plain edge, designed by J. C. Roettiers, struck 1738-69. Dr/4 no. 859, Dr/2 no. 595. 1740-X m. 378,378 (scarce); 1740-Y m. 230,908 (uncommon).
