This specimen was part of lot 29023 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), which sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "Trio of Louis XV 2 Sols (Sous Marqués), 1) 1739-P XF, Dijon mint, KM500.16, Vlack-163. Silver-gray and pale yellow, slightly off center. Minor roughness in the reverse center, as made. Ex. John Ford collection (Stack's Ford XII, Jan. 2006, lot 210). 2) 1739-T XF, Nantes mint, KM500.20, Vlack-185. Iridescent blue and brown. Weak in the centers. 3) 1739-V XF, Troyes mint, KM500.21, Vlack-193. Medium gray, slightly weak at the right obverse. From the Doug Robins Collection of Canadian Tokens."

Gad-281: 2.18 g, .250 fine silver, 22 mm diameter, plain edge, designed by J. C. Roettiers, struck 1738-69. Dr/4 no. 859, Dr/2 no. 595. 1739-P m. 1,382,522; 1739-T m. 442,282; 1739-V m. 986,587.
