This specimen was lot 29017 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $1,080. The catalog description[1] noted, "Louis XV Sol (1/2 Sou Marqué) 1740-AA MS62 NGC, Metz mint, KM501.2, Vlack-324. Bold strike, medium-gray with yellow highlights around the devices and legends. Definitely a splendid example of the type. From the Doug Robins Collection of Canadian Tokens."

Gad-278: 1.09 g, .250 fine silver, 18 mm diameter, plain edge, designed by J. C. Roettiers, struck 1739-42, 1746, 1748, with many scarce dates. Dr/4 no. 861, Dr/2 no. 597. 1740-AA m. 15,048, a very scarce date.
