This specimen was part of lot 29008 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), which sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "Pair of Louis XIV 30 Deniers ("Mousquetaires"), 1) 1710-AA AU55 NGC, Metz mint, KM378.1, Gad-102, Vlack-8b, R8. Large stop in place of pomegranate différent. Considerable silvering remains, with a few patches of dark toning at the edges. A very pretty coin! 2) 1712-D XF, Lyon mint, KM378.2, Gad-102, Vlack-5. Cracked flan, with a rather mushy strike and blotches of verdigris on the reverse. From the Doug Robins Collection of Canadian Tokens."

Gad-102: 2.44 g, .208 fine silver, 23-24 mm diameter, plain edge, designed by Norbert Roettiers, struck 1709-13 at Metz and Lyon only for soldier's pay. Dr/4 no. 767, Dr/2 no. 475. m. 13,296,922 (1710-AA), 26,719,786 (1712-D). total made about 40 million.
