This specimen was lot 2622 in Goldberg sale 91 (Los Angeles, June 2016), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "France. 24 Sols (1/5 Ecu), 1726-E (Tours) NGC MS63. KM-482.6 (date not listed in KM); Gad-298 (mintage 53,391). Denomination incorrect on slab. Louis XV. Beautiful iridescent toning. NGC graded MS-63."
Dr/4 no. 840, 5.89 g, .917 fine. m. 53,391, a better date. Tours struck this 1726-29 only. The mint was closed in 1771.
