This specimen was lot 2617 in Goldberg sale 91 (Los Angeles, June 2016), where it sold for $517. The catalog description[1] noted, "France. Franc, 1578-A Choice EF. Ciani-1427. Henry III, 1574-1589. Laureate bust right. Reverse; Cross fleuree with H in center. Minor area of natural striking weakness, otherwise bold portrait and toned. Choice Extremely Fine."
