This specimen was lot 3249 in Goldberg sale 85 (Los Angeles, June 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"France. Pavillion d'or, ND. Fr-266; Ciani-270. Philippe VI De Valois, 1328-1350. House of Valois (1328-1498). King seated on throne holding scepter under draped pavillion. Legend -(Lis) PHILIPPVS: DEI GRA: FRANCORVM: REX. Reverse: Floriated cross in quadrilobe, crown in angles. Legend - + XP'C : VINCIT. XP'C. REGNAT. XP'C. IMPERAT. A superb example, very high grade, all detail sharp with original luster. Very Rare. NGC graded MS-64."
