This specimen was lot 2520 in Goldberg sale 109 (Los Angeles, January 2019), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "[[France]. Ecu a la meche longue, 1648-F (Angers). Dav-3799; KM-155.5; Gad-202. Louis XIV, 1643-1715. Laureate bust of young king with long curl. Reverse: Crowned arms. Sharply struck example with choice original mint luster and with great eye-appeal. Better than the grade on the holder. PCGS graded AU-55."
