This specimen was lot 319 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $2,057. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE, Premier République. Directoire. 1795-1799. CU Décime (28 mm, 10.45 g, 6h). Lyon mint; différents: Artemis and dog. Augustin Dupré, engraver general. Citoyen Papet, director. Dated L’An 4 D (AD 1795/6). Small size. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 62 BN. Deep brown patina. Very scarce and highest ever graded. Purchased from M. Louis Teller, June 1975."
VG 184; KM 636.2, F.126/2. mtg 254,940. many restruck into 5 centimes.
